Andrew Black, PTA

Andy Black is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and Certified Personal Trainer.  His passion for fitness and physical therapy was born from his desire to achieve a balanced and active lifestyle. A native of Tacoma, WA, (Stadium High School!) Andy realized how beneficial it was to pursue optimal health, both physically, and mentally.

Andy has a love for the game of golf, he appreciates a good steak, and can be caught binge-watching Lord of the Ring films on his days off.  Thankful he was connected to A2 when he first began interning here as a student in 2023 — where he helped so many of our clients on their path to wellness and can continue that here in our tacoma clinic in his first PTA job.

"Dear Alika- I want to tell you how great A2 has been in helping me to succeed in getting better after my stroke. Your staff is not only knowledgeable but funny at the same time. They don’t make physical therapy seem tough; but they make it fun by teaching us the right way to stand, asking us how we are and encouraging us to reach our goals. My goal has always been to get back to “normal.” I appreciate all of your staff immensely. They are all great. You always have my recommendation for where to go for P.T."

"Dan was great to work with, as was the whole staff at A2 PT. I have been through PT on my shoulders twice before with different places and by far this has been my best experience. As a fit person, who wanted to remain active during my recovery- I felt like my PT program covered that. Dan knew what my preferred activities were and tailored my treatment to be able to do those things. The treatment plan was more like a workout and I loved it. I felt like each week I was getting stronger. I also appreciated that I was asked for constant feedback about how I was feeling/doing. If I ever need PT again (fingers crossed I don’t) I’ll be back!"

"I am impressed with the personnel that worked with me during this process for my back. Danny, Shelby, & Jackie are very knowledgeable, and available for all of the questions I brought up. I appreciated the constant evaluation of my progress during the six week process. I truly enjoyed their company as well. It isn't like going to a normal doctor's office. It was a very personal experience. Best yest is that the therapy worked very well. I am very pleased with the results. My pain is almost non-existent. Thank you very much."
