A2 Physical Therapy + Older Adults

A2 Physical Therapy is eager and passionate about helping Tacoma’s older adults live safer, healthier, and longer independent lives. Our PTA Molly Daugherty brings her experience from the acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient physical therapy settings to A2 Physical Therapy, where she greatly values the collaborative approach A2’s physical therapists, personal trainers, and massage therapists use every day to provide exceptionally well-rounded  and patient-focused care.

Comprehensive treatment programs are individualized for each patient with their personal goals, functional mobility, and balance abilities considered. We incorporate effective research-based interventions and Medicare-accepted outcome measures to provide the highest quality of personalized physical therapy in Tacoma. Specific treatments designed for people with Parkinson’s disease are also offered at A2.

At A2 Physical Therapy, we are excited to be working with the older adult community as we are currently accepting Medicare patients. Molly and the entire A2 team strive to positively affect the health-related quality of life with each of our patients. We are experienced and committed to helping older adults of all ages improve their confidence and retain their independence.

"It was very helpful to be taught exercises I could do at home to alleviate the pain in my back and to make my stomach/diaphragm stronger. It was a great experience and I took away a lot of knowledge to help myself."

"I had a great time coming in to A2 every week. Everyone was really helpful and fun to be around. The exercises we did made a huge difference in getting my body and confidence back to shape. Next time I'm injured, I will know just where to go. Thank you!"

"Before I started coming to A2 I was always tired and could barely pick up or carry my grandchildren a ½ block. After the first 6 weeks of working with Kristi I got a big surprise when I took my grandchildren to a festival and carried the youngest 4 blocks before she woke up enough to walk. I then picked her up and put her on my shoulders so she could see better without effort. I was amazed at how much strength I had gained in a short time. I continue to see improvement in my strength and I’m no longer tired all the time."
